Morph

Convert HEIC to JPG

iPhones save photos as HEIC, and plenty of websites, forms and older PCs still won't take them. Morph turns them into JPG on your own device, one photo or a hundred at once.

How to do it

  1. Open the photos in Morph

On a Mac or Windows PC, start dragging the HEIC files and tap Shift. On iPhone or Android, share them to Morph or pick them in the app.

  2. Choose JPG

The Convert wheel only shows formats that fit the file, so JPG is right there.

  3. Find the JPGs beside the originals

Each JPG gets the same name and lands next to its HEIC. The HEIC files are never changed.

Where it works

Free and open source. Everything runs on your device: no uploads, no account, no ads, and your originals are never changed.

Questions

Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?

JPG is a lossy format, so a little detail is traded for compatibility, but Morph saves at high quality and you won't see the difference at normal sizes. Choose PNG instead if you need a lossless copy.

Can I convert many HEIC photos at once?

Yes. Select or drag as many as you like; Morph converts them in one go and shows how many finished.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs on your device and Morph makes no network requests.
